Keter Books is the new publishing subsidiary company established in September 2005 by Keter Publishing House and The Steimatzky Group, both market leaders and veterans in the Israel publishing industry.
 
Keter Publishing House, established in 1958, has been a public company since 1987 and a prominent and innovative publisher with a varied catalog of genre, including original and translated literary fiction and non-fiction, albums, guides and general trade books, children's books and multi-volume encyclopedias.
Number of titles published to date: over 3,100. 
  
Keter and Steimatzky have since 2005 pooled their publishing resources, led by Keter's existing editorial team, and all new titles published in Hebrew are since then published by Keter Books under the long established Keter label.
 
In addition to its publishing activity Keter Books has integrated and expanded the original Keter book-marketing and distribution network to all retail outlets throughout Israel. Keter Books is the distributor for many of Israel's key publishong houses, including the long established HaKibutz HaMeuhad/ Sifriyat HaPoalim/ HaSifriya HaHadasha, Arye Nir, and Sifruyat Maariv.
 
Keter Books' unique background has given renewed confidence to its authors in an ever more competitive book-market enviornment. This was, after all, a key consideration in the establishment of this important publishing cooperation.
